We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our family-owned company. This full-time position provides the opportunity to implement previous experience, while growing with the company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Collaborate with Project Managers on project requirements and designs.

2) Obtain and gather information to complete designs, visiting job sites to collect measurements as needed.

3) Draw rough and detailed plans for buildings and their surroundings, all based on preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, and specifications.

4) Design layouts and interior room arrangements for residential and commercial buildings using the SketchUp software.

5) Update and modify existing drawings as needed.

Skills Required:

Communication – Effectively communicate project information to appropriate team members.

Coordination – Work efficiently with a variety of people including Project Managers, team members, clients, and Owners.

Collaboration – Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to refine design concepts and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the drafting process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience with Revit.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience with SketchUp.
• Experience with computers and computer systems.
• Proven knowledge of construction and design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of houses, buildings, or other structures.
• Ability to communicate details clearly and precisely.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Willingness to tackle new tasks.
• Ability to work on-site at the Artisan Inc. office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
